Individualised bodywork · London

Bodywork for the whole person.

Assessment-led soft-tissue therapy for pain, tension, movement and recovery — thoughtful hands-on care, adapted to you.

Professional hands-on bodywork · Movement-informed · Consent-led

Where does it hurt?

That is only the beginning.

Symptoms do not always exist in isolation. Movement, physical loading, work demands, recovery, sleep or stress may be relevant — depending on the person. Understanding that context helps make treatment more individual, without assuming that every factor causes pain.

“Two people can arrive with similar symptoms and still need very different sessions.”

The principle behind WholePerson Bodywork

Understand the individual first. Then choose what may be useful.

  1. 01

    Assess

Understand your symptoms, relevant history, movement, activity and goals.

  2. 02

    Release

Use purposeful hands-on treatment for relevant tension, sensitivity and restriction.

  3. 03

    Regulate

Where useful, support comfort, slower breathing and a calmer treatment experience.

  4. 04

    Integrate

Build practical movement, recovery or self-management into what comes next.

“Release” is a clear description of the hands-on stage — not a claim that tissues are forcibly lengthened, realigned or permanently changed.

Built around what brings you in.

For ordinary bodies, active bodies and people who want more thought than a standard massage routine.

01

Pain, tension & restricted movement

Assessment-led bodywork exploring relevant muscular, movement and loading factors associated with your symptoms.

02

Desk & work-related tension

Support around prolonged sitting, repetitive tasks, limited movement variation and demanding schedules — without blaming posture.

03

Sports & active recovery

For runners, gym users and active adults seeking support around muscular loading, comfort, mobility and recovery.

04

Stress & physical tension

Hands-on care that may include slower breathing, pacing and relaxation strategies where appropriate.

05

Movement & mobility

For stiffness or movement limitations, with practical guidance to build confidence, variation and physical capacity.

WholePerson Bodywork & Soft-Tissue Therapy

Professional hands-on treatment remains at the centre. Other approaches are selected only when they suit the individual.

Optional hands-on tools

Acupuncture and cupping may be incorporated when appropriate, suitable and consented to.

Movement & self-management

Strength, mobility, graded movement and yoga-informed guidance can support the Integrate stage.

Mind-body support

Gentle breathing may be included. Dedicated breathwork or hypnotherapy is distinct and offered only within appropriate scope.

Explore methods and professional scope

Treatment may draw from Level 5 soft-tissue therapy, sports and remedial approaches, muscle energy techniques, soft-tissue release, neuromuscular and trigger-point techniques, myofascial approaches, assisted stretching, movement, appropriate joint mobilisation, breathing strategies, acupuncture or cupping.

Tony’s movement background includes Level 4 Referral Personal Training and 200-hour yoga teacher training. His complementary training includes acupuncture, cupping, breathwork facilitation and hypnotherapy. Not every approach is relevant to every client.

Clear, considered and led by consent.

Treatment should never feel like something being done to you without explanation.

  1. 01

    Understand

Discuss what brings you in, relevant history, activities, goals and preferences.

  2. 02

    Assess

Where appropriate, use movement, range of motion, palpation and relevant physical assessment.

  3. 03

    Treat

Choose hands-on approaches in response to the assessment and your comfort.

  4. 04

    Reassess

Where useful, check movement, comfort or relevant findings to understand what changed.

  5. 05

    Integrate

Agree practical movement, recovery, breathing, self-care or next steps.

Choose the time that fits the session.

The introductory appointment is longer so there is time to understand you before treatment. Individual sessions always remain available.

Professional training. Human context.

Tony developed WholePerson Bodywork from a simple observation: knowing more techniques matters less than knowing how to choose what is relevant for the person in front of you.

His background includes Level 5 Soft Tissue Therapy, sports and remedial hands-on work, Level 4 Referral Personal Training, yoga teaching, breathwork facilitation, hypnotherapy, acupuncture and cupping training, an MSc in Transpersonal Psychology and continuing professional development.

Tony is undertaking formal university education in osteopathy. He is not currently a registered osteopath and does not advertise or practise osteopathy.

Years spent in demanding corporate and finance environments also give him first-hand context for long screen hours, deadlines, commuting, workplace pressure and the challenge of making time for movement and recovery. That experience is human context, not a healthcare qualification.

What you may want to know.

Clear answers before you decide whether the approach is right for you.

What is WholePerson Bodywork?

It is individualised hands-on bodywork and soft-tissue therapy. Your session is guided by discussion and appropriate assessment, then adapted to your symptoms, activities, goals and preferences.

How is it different from a normal massage?

There is no standard sequence applied to everyone. The aim is to understand enough about you to decide what may be useful, explain the reasoning and tailor the treatment accordingly.

Is this the same as sports massage — and do I need to be athletic?

Sports and remedial soft-tissue approaches may be used, but you do not need to play sport. The same principles can be relevant to work demands, repetitive activity, exercise and everyday muscular tension.

What happens during my first appointment?

We begin with a consultation and relevant history. Where appropriate, Tony may observe movement, assess range of motion, palpate tissues or use relevant physical tests. Treatment, reassessment and practical advice follow, with your consent throughout.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing is helpful for discussion and movement assessment. Depending on the treatment, Tony will explain any options for clothing or draping so you can decide what feels comfortable.

Will treatment hurt?

Effective bodywork does not need to be brutal. Pressure should be purposeful, tolerable and responsive. You can ask for pressure to change, decline a technique or stop at any time.

How many sessions will I need?

There is no universal number. Frequency depends on the individual, their goals, presentation, progress and response. The aim is to support confidence and independence, not unnecessary treatment dependence.

Can I book if I sit at a desk all day?

Yes. Sessions can consider prolonged sitting, repetitive tasks, limited movement variation, workload and recovery without blaming a single posture or prescribing a mythical perfect one.

Can treatment support sports recovery?

Bodywork may support comfort, mobility, relaxation and recovery for active people. It does not guarantee performance improvements or prevent injury, and advice is adapted to your training and current presentation.

What is the difference between 60 and 90 minutes?

Sixty minutes suits many ongoing appointments. Ninety minutes allows a slower pace, more assessment, multiple areas, or time to include movement or breathing strategies where useful.

Is acupuncture always included?

No. It may be incorporated only when appropriate, suitable, within professional scope and with informed consent. Response varies between individuals. Cupping is also optional and may leave temporary skin marks.

Can breathing techniques be incorporated?

Yes, gentle breathing or pacing strategies may sometimes support relaxation, comfort and body awareness. They are optional and are not presented as a cure or a way to ‘reset’ the nervous system.

Can I exercise after treatment?

That depends on the session, your response and the activity you have planned. Tony can discuss sensible options with you; medical advice may be appropriate in some circumstances.

What if I have a medical condition?

Please share relevant conditions, medication and recent changes before treatment. Screening may identify contraindications or occasions when medical assessment or another professional is more appropriate.

When should I speak to my GP or another healthcare professional?

Seek appropriate medical help for severe, unexplained or worsening symptoms, recent significant trauma, new neurological symptoms, systemic illness, or anything that concerns you. Emergencies require urgent medical care.

Where are appointments held, what is the cancellation policy, and how do I book?

Clinic address, transport, accessibility, opening hours, cancellation terms and the secure booking link will be added here as soon as they are confirmed. You can use the enquiry form in the meantime.

Not sure what to book?

Send a brief enquiry. Please do not include sensitive medical information in this form.
